November lake-effect snow
editShould the November lake effect-snow in the Northeast a few days back be added to the article or should we leave it out? Qwerty325 (talk) 18:24, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
Early December 2020 nor'easter
editI think the recent nor'easter in early December deserves an article; it caused hundreds of thousands of power outages, numerous crashes, heavy wet snow accumulations, and was a significant nor'easter being a bomb cyclone. This meets the criteria for an article, and I am suggesting an article titled Early December 2020 nor'easter here. Should we create this article or not? Mid-February Winter Storm
editMarioProtIV, it is important to include all storm in the EVENTS section. Also, what is 3RR? ~~ 🏅🌀𝕾𝖚𝖕𝖊𝖗 𝕮𝖞𝖈𝖑𝖔𝖓𝖎𝖈 𝕾𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖒 𝕮𝖔𝖗𝖔𝖓𝖆🌀🏅 23:55, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Super Cyclonic Storm Corona: We typically avoid including minor winter storms in the Events section; that would really crowd up the article and would be overdoing it. "Roland" was not a very major snow or ice event in a widespread area, and does not deserve a place in the Events section. Instead, minor winter storms, like this one, should go in the Seasonal summary, where a small summary of the systems can be given and the storm will still have a place in the article. And to answer your question, 3RR is the "three-revert rule", which states that on Wikipedia, you can't make more than three reverts on one article within 24 hours. Violating will result in a 72-hour block from editing Wikipedia (I had that happen to me before I knew about it.) I hope this clears everything up. Cold wave article?
editThe cold wave in February killed and impacted many people, and was unlike no other cold wave in years. Should there be an article, or no? ~ 🌀 SCS CORONA 🌀 20:10, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
Edit warring
edit@MarioProtIV and HurricaneCovid: I'm only going to say this once: STOP EDIT WARRING OR I WILL REPORT BOTH OF YOU. This is getting ridiculous. The edit summary is literally full with you guys arguing with each other, yet neither one of you bought the discussion to the talk page so EVERYONE could discuss the problem. Please handle your differences in a more civilized manner from now on.ChessEric (talk · contribs) 20:43, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
- Enough of this bullsh*t. For real. These edit wars have to stop. BTW, the parties involved should be made fully aware that WP:OWN clearly states that no one editor or group of editors get to dictate how an article is run. (There is one editor in particular who may need to give that page another read.) Take the disputes to the talk page. (Discord also works, but only if it produces meaningful results and a cessation of the edit wars.) Now, this ends here. Otherwise, I will open up a general discussion on the WPNTS talk page (linked to the WPTC talk page for more input) on how to handle the disputed issues going forward. And if edit-warring continues beyond that, there will be consequences. Sanctions will be likely, and blocks may come down as well. That's not to say that the current level of edit-warring doesn't merit action. It has already gotten pretty bad, and I would urge all of you to stop with the warring. Enough of this nonsense. This continues, and both of you are getting reported. ~ 🌀 SCS CORONA 🌀 23:11, 18 March 2021 (UTC)
Article request: Late October Ice Storm
editWe have a lot of articles for low-impact winter storms, but having lived through this event myself, an article should have been a no-brainer in my opinion. So...has anyone even attempted to start one?ChessEric (talk · contribs) 19:22, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
Merge November 2020 North American storm complex here?

I don't think that article is notable enough, with only no fatalities and $100 million in damage, and no clear claim to notability. Plus the article is in poor shape. Is a merge warranted? 2600:4808:353:7B01:BE35:122C:4D81:5BBB (talk) 19:41, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
- The article can always be improved. The article is a long length. It is not a stub. Cwater1 (talk) 21:54, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
- Closing, given the uncontested objection and no support with stale discussion. Klbrain (talk) 15:59, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
