– The title is misleading when it could be more precise. Straw polls aren't in any way synonymous to actual elections. Canada, if they so wish, may hold a straw poll for US president and it will still not be the same as an election. Straw polls have no legal significance. Comparing with other states makes no sense as other states don't find themselves in this same place. 2020 United States Shadow Senator election in the District of Columbia for example clearly denotes the fact that it is an election for Shadow Senator rather than simply using Senate as it is with other states. Because Shadow Senators aren't the same as actual Senators and have no legal significance either. Titles are the first thing an user sees, and the current title gives the false impression that Guam has presidential representation when in fact it does not.
