Tiebreak
editDoes anyone know exactly what the order of tiebreaks is for the standings? I'm not sure where in the canpl site it would be found. At least, according to the standings, it seems the goal differential is not the first tiebreak used. -boldblazer (talk) 03:21, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- I don't think tiebreakers have been announced yet (most likely that the league has not decided). Different tiebreakers were used in 2019 and 2020 so I suggest we follow traditional conventions (points, GD) until something official is announced. BLAIXX 01:21, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
Team Abbreviations
editWhen it comes to the 3-letter abbreviations for teams, is it better to go with what is seen on the CPL site itself or what is seen on screen during matches and official highlight videos? Whichever is more correct is what I'll change it to. -boldblazer 01:43, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- I think the only "disputed" ones are York (YOR vs YRK) and Ottawa (ATO vs OTT?). Are there any others? BLAIXX 13:25, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- When I checked all 8 teams, York was consistently YRK, with Ottawa being ATO. The only difference was FC Edmonton with the CPL site using FCE but the videos using EDM. -boldblazer 21:55, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks for checking. Anecdotally I think I see FCE more than EDM but no strong feelings either way. BLAIXX 22:37, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
