Qualification draw

edit

Hi, i recently added the Qualification Draw to this tournament. Since the qualification is normally about 2 days long, and it occurs on the weekends, the tournaments prefer to concentrate more on the Main Draw and leave the Qualification Draw in a "sub-standard" state, that is they don't upload the Qualification Draw until after posting the Main draw or one after another, on Monday, when Qualifications usually already ended. Based on this rationale, i usually add, when it's available, a pdf file from other sources than the one normally used (protennislive) mainly from the official websites or their social media contacts which are more active during the weekends.
And so i did also with this tournament, only to have been "tag_: reverted" by the user who first created the page. Now, as newcomer here, i don't know what the rules are on Wikipedia, if there's some kind of last saying by the page's creator, i just don't understand why the creator reverted it to a blank page, which is what we have now, instead of a useful and informative Qualifying Draw taken from the official facebook page of the tournament ( i can offer the link, if needed, even add it in the link at the bottom of the page, but i saw that was not the common practice so i didn't upload it yet). In the end, we are here to enlarge the page by adding useful content, and yes, nothing prevents the creator or any editor/user from changing my editing for the better, once the protennislive's pdf file is available ( by Monday, usually). If i have time i will do it myself. I am not against improvements.

Long story short, i would like to know from other users what do you think about uploading QD not from the officially used website, temporarily using instead other (official) sources, if you find them useful and check them on the weekend. I hope not to have been too clumsy explaining the issue. Thanks for your answers.Mandraketennis (talk) 14:27, 7 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
