Finished MLB Postseason article series for Wikipedia, note for future

edit

I have now finished the complete MLB Postseason article series from 1969 to 2022. Now all four of the major North American sports leagues have their own separate article series' for their playoffs, and the admins in control of the baseball section of Wikipedia now have a new article series to work with whenever it is time to update postseason standings, instead of the MLB regular season articles.

I sincerely hope that this article series I created will be continue to be used by Wikipedia for discussing the MLB Postseason, adding new entries whenever it is time to do so, and will provide users and visitors to this site with better access to information about the MLB Postseason, rather than going to the MLB season articles. I made this article series because I noticed that the NBA, NHL, and NFL all had separate article series for their playoffs, but not MLB. Now, that is no longer the case. Writing this article series took me just shy of a week to complete, and I hope those here are able to appreciate the work I've put in. It's not 100% perfect, some of the articles for this series could use some additional information or paragraphs, which I will let others add if needed.

I would like to thank the admins of Wikipedia for allowing me to create this MLB Postseason article series, as it is something that I have wanted to add to this site for almost a decade. I hope the admins use this article for discussing and adding information for the 2022 MLB Postseason, as well as future MLB Postseasons that are still to come.

I Noticed....

edit

that in the extra-inning games played in this post season, (unlike during the regular season), each half inning does NOT begin with a runner on second base. Should this "rule difference from regular season to post season" be mentioned somewhere in the article as part of informing our reader of MLB's differing protocols during post season play? Two extra-inning games have been played. Had they not occurred, no problem. No mention required. But they happened. It seems inappropriate to not have at least a footnote for the 2nd Cleveland/Yankee game and the 3rd Astros/Mariners game. Thoughts? ―Buster7  07:52, 16 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
