Talk:2022 New Mexico gubernatorial election

Presumptive Nominee

edit

Should other pages be set up like this? I think some races don't have any competition. 2600:8807:6400:C1F0:2D93:F06A:274E:4AD6 (talk) 22:25, 18 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

This has been reverted. Per WP:CRYSTAL, Wikipedia is not a collection of unverifiable speculation or presumptions. Wikipedia does not predict the future. All articles about anticipated events must be verifiable... Even if politicians are running unopposed in their elections, it is not the job of Wikipedia (or editors) to provide political predictions or commentary. It is not a prediction that someone who is running unopposed will win. Them winning is guaranteed by law. Thomascampbell123 (talk) 00:46, 19 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

The filing deadline hasn't passed yet. It's WP:CRYSTAL to assume she won't pick up a challenger. – Muboshgu (talk) 00:55, 19 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

I remember that in NM the final day to file was a few weeks ago. The filing deadline has passed and no more Democrats are running in the primary. Thomascampbell123 (talk) 02:54, 19 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

If the filing deadline is done, then MLG is the likely Democratic nominee unless some hugely successful write in candidate comes in, and steals it. Count of Unigan (talk) 03:46, 20 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
