Aggregate Table
editWhen did Peru ever get the Qualification for Copa Libertadores first stage? I remember it was either Sudamericana or top 2 get Libertadores. ThisUsernameIsAlreadyInUsePleaseChooseADifferentName (talk) 11:03, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
- Peru, like the rest of CONMEBOL associations other than Argentina and Brazil, has had four Copa Libertadores berths since the most recent format change to the competition in 2017. Two teams (the league finalists) qualify for the group stage, the best team in the aggregate table other than the champion and runner-up qualifies for the second stage and the next best-placed team enters the first stage. Although there is still no certainty about the total number of teams that will take part in the playoffs at the end of the season as well as their final placement in the aggregate table, the fact that the Apertura winners Alianza Lima are already assured to end in the top three of the aggregate table means that the team placing third in the aggregate table at the end of the season will qualify for the Libertadores first stage at worst.
