Restrictions on rapid tournaments and small tournaments

The article should include the following restrictions

   4.1 The final score of a player is calculated as the sum of the player’s up to 
       seven highest event scores.
   4.1.1 If a player’s final score is a sum of six or seven best scores, 
       it can contain no more than two rapid or blitz tournaments.
   4.1.2 If a player’s final score is a sum of five or fewer scores, 
       it can contain no more than one rapid or blitz tournament.
   4.1.3 If a player’s final score is a sum of six or seven best scores, 
       it can contain no more than four or five respectively 
       standard tournaments with the participation of less than 50 players.
   4.1.4 If a player’s final score is a sum of five or fewer scores, 
       it can contain no more than four eligible standard tournaments 
       with the participation of less than 50 players.

Recent edits

Hi, I think we should have event results color-coded, to make easier to understand which are R&B/Opens to be able to determine which events count. Also, I think England's flag should be used (at least in the results table), as it is relevant to the subject and article - see section 4.3.2 of the regulations. Also, according to that section, England is defined as a country - and I find it quite reasonable to follow FIDE on these matters. Thoughts? A3811 (talk) 18:33, 21 October 2024 (UTC)

British flag indicates host country of tournaments (Great Britain aka United Kingdom), not national federation which is FIDE member (England). I agree that it quite reasonable to follow FIDE on these matters. So, at FIDE official website United Kingdom (UK) indicated as host country of all British-held tournaments (see section "ELIGIBLE TOURNAMENTS" - https://worldchampionshipcycle.fide.com/fide-circuit/ ) like Caplin Hastings Masters (Hastings, United Kingdom, December 28, 2023 – January 05, 2024) but at the "LEADERBORD" section all British players indicated as representatives of their national federations (like England or Scotland). So, I guess we should use British flag for British-held tournaments but English or Scotish flags for the players. Hyperion82 (talk) 12:00, 24 October 2024 (UTC)

The national federation flags become relevant because there is a restriction of number of tournaments to be considered for FIDE Circuit per national federation, not per country. 202.148.60.55 (talk) 05:25, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
