Announcement?
editStill no announcement with confirmation of the participating teams from a reliable source (or at least none included in the article), but the teams have been added here without support. A source needs to be added or the teams should be removed from the table until there is one. Bs1jac (talk) 11:33, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- It was Mohammed07102007 who added it here. But, I dont see any sources anywhere on the internet yet. Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 11:45, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Bs1jac and Vestrian24Bio: Sorry if you think my edits are harmful to this subregional qualifier. Although I can't find a source for this qualifier, I can explain this issue as follows. As you know, in the Asia subregional qualifier A, there are 7 teams: Hong Kong, Kuwait, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Mongolia and Singapore; along with 2 Asian teams that participated in the ICC T20 Men's World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the United States, Nepal and Oman; then I can guess that in the Asia subregional qualifier B, there will be the remaining names, which are United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Cambodia, Bhutan and China. In fact, an IP once wondered why Cambodia was not on this list. If one of these 8 names withdraws from the tournament, I will take responsibility for this. - So, it's WP:CRYSTAL? Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 00:31, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi - Don't worry, nobody is suggesting that your edits are harmful. The issue is just that Wiki is an encyclopedia and should only include things that are known (or reliably reported), not guesses. You are probably correct but we don't know that these teams will enter. We don't know if Cambodia meet the entry criteria (nobody really knows what they are!)... and the ICC being what it is, UAE could be given a bye for some reason. - Thank you! Mohammed07102007 (talk) 08:18, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
- That IP was me.lol I better need to create a profile. But as Bs1jac says there is nothing official about whether Cambodia will play this tournament or not. I do hope though, they won't give a bye to UAE as it would be hard to justify after forcing Zimbabwe to go through SRQs. 2600:8803:B122:E100:5176:2B2D:7F4F:10FB (talk) 16:34, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
- Agree... and I don't think there is any suggestion that UAE will get a bye... but you just never know! Bs1jac (talk) 11:31, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
