editThe text in this article mixes the history of the building pictured with that of the Gunther Candy Store, which was located next door to the south of this one and torn down when the Consumer's Building was built in 1913. This building was designed in 1885 by August Fiedler and John Addison for B. Hagaman at 210 State Street (old number) and appeared in American Architect & Building News in the July 17, 1886 issue.
