Very good point! There are approximately 15 or so of these individual year articles on the Tony Awards, and I'm pretty sure none (or few) of them starts out by saying what the award is. I've added the first paragraph to this article, direct from the main article on the Tony Awards, plus a "See Also" to that article and a reference (the Official site of the Tony Awards). (Perhaps a disambig. link to the main article would be better, right up top, but I'm rushed right now.) If this is not sufficient, well--I could write a book on these awards, but a few people already have, they can be cited/quoted if need be, but let's see how this is received.
