Am I the only one who sees the historical significance of the 26th Cav Regt? They performed the last combat horse-cavalry charge in history! 70.117.175.239 (talk) 09:15, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

No you aren't the only one, and their is a small statement regarding the 'Battle of Morong' in the article. Unfortunatly, the article does need more work and could use additions.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 23:24, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
debateable Horses_in_World_War_II#United_Kingdom says there was a cavalry charge a few months later in Burma and Italians in August against a Soviet unit. GraemeLeggett (talk) 15:06, 2 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
The statement that it is the last cavalry charge, in the article itself, is pertaining to the Cavalry Branch of the United States Army, and not to other nation's or other branches of the Army. There have been reports of Horse borne charges in Afghanistan, however those were done outside of the branch, and were done more in the nature of dragoons. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 16:12, 2 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
