Request moves (for all Sundance festival articles)

The result of the proposal was move per request as the more common name--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 00:12, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
27th Sundance Film Festival → 2011 Sundance Film Festival — Sundance Institute refers to their festivals as "YEAR Sundance Film Festival" not "nth Sundance Film Festival". While other media sources may refer to it as the "nth" festival, the Institute offically uses the year, as shown on their website.[1][2] The articles were originally named in this format, but were all moved without any consensus (or edit summary reason) several months ago. Also note that searching "27th Sundance Film Festival" at Sundance.org using Google yields no results.[3] –Dream out loud (talk) 00:47, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
- 26th Sundance Film Festival → 2010 Sundance Film Festival
- 25th Sundance Film Festival → 2009 Sundance Film Festival
- 24th Sundance Film Festival → 2008 Sundance Film Festival
- 23rd Sundance Film Festival → 2007 Sundance Film Festival
- 22nd Sundance Film Festival → 2006 Sundance Film Festival
- 20th Sundance Film Festival → 2003 Sundance Film Festival
Survey
edit- Support - seems to be accurate; the year version gets way more Google hits as well. — Amakuru (talk) 12:28, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
- Support - I've been a volunteer at Sundance for the last three years. Except for 2009, none of the screen washes, film guides, banners, posters, etc., used the ordinal identifier. The 2009 Festival did reference to the ordinal because it was the 25th festival - one of those numbers that we humans deem 'important'. -- Trappist the monk (talk) 12:41, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
- Support even the Olympics which are referred to in this manner officially, are labelled by year in Wikipedia. It's much simpler and easier to refer to it by year. 65.93.12.101 (talk) 22:20, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
- Support if for no other reason that it's just easier to remember. Jhunt47 (talk) 19:29, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
