In looking up the 2nd Virginia Infantry for a late-war (1863+) officer supposedly of this unit, who later became Virginia's first Secretary of Virginia Military Records (Robert Waterman Hunter), I couldn't find him in the book about the 2nd Virginia Infantry, so found a book about Virginia military units and learned there were a number of different units taking versions of that name in 1861. I don't know when I can get back to that library and correct this article. Frankly, my time right now's limited, and I was very annoyed not being able to access his Confederate military records on ancestry.com's library edition, instead opening a subscription nag page about fold3.com, which I didn't think this library subscribed to.Jweaver28 (talk) 21:56, 25 December 2018 (UTC) The book turns out to have had two indexes.Jweaver28 (talk) 00:54, 27 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
This article could also greatly benefit from a better system of organization. Some facts about the Colonels of the group could easily go in a separate section dedicated to the Colonels/Leaders of the group. There could also be another section for any notable deaths that occured in the group during battle.-Rpalme23 (talk) 00:09, 31 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
