Dead or alive
editIn mid-July, 1879, a conference and reunion of pioneering officials of Wisconsin Territory was held in Madison. Those in attendance are listed; those who sent their regrets are also named. As part of the proceedings, a list of the former officeholders was read out, and the attendees queried as to the fate of their peers.
