The article here presents the show as cancelled after one episode,then the three remaining episodes eventually aired.
At the time,after a rave review for the premiere and an announcement at the end that it would return later in the season,it seemed that it had been renewed after one episode...the original idea being to make only three episodes,but the popular demand leading to more but that turned out to only be one more episode produced or broadcast.
