Disambiguation and Merger
editThis unit is not the only 3d Reconnaissance Squadron in the AAF. The 3d Reconnaissance Squadron also held that designation, so disambiguation is needed. The disambiguation page would also include the 3d Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, 3d Weather Reconnaissance Squadron, and 3d Strategic Reconnaissance Squadron.
I do not believe that this squadron is clearly the most notable of the squadrons, particularly in view that most of its achievements were under variations of the 3d Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron and its most current designation is 3d Space Operations Squadron (consolidated on 13 October 1994). Therefore, I propose:
- Merging this article with the article for the 3d Space Operations Squadron, and
- Making this page a disambiguation page
