A very nice start for length and details. Just needs some reformatting. More of this needs to be in proper prose paragraph format. And the introduction needs to be clearer. I am no specialist in aviation history, nor in the complexities of modern military history; I need to be able to tell at a glance, from the first few sentences, what the 524th is (was), when it was formed, what conflicts it participated in, and what makes it significant or notable. The way the intro reads right now, it sounds like the kind of formal military jargon I would get from a recruiting manual, or from a member of the Squadron. This needs to be written in a much more natural encyclopedic/historical fashion. Something akin to "The 524th Fighter Squadron is a United States Air Force squadron which was first established during World War II and remains active today. It is distinguished from other fighter squadrons by..." LordAmeth13:10, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
