Is this unit correctly identified?
edit- I'm unable to find the 5th Indiana Volunteers in other references to Indiana Civil War regiments. The name sounds like it might have been a cavalry regiment. There was a 5th Regiment Indiana Cavalry with the alternate designation 90th Regiment Indiana Infantry. There was also a 5th Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry in the Mexican War. Can someone please help in identifying this unit more specifically? -- Cuppysfriend 23:27, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- This was one of five Indiana infantry units that served in the Mexican-American War. See [1]. -- Cuppysfriend 15:08, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
