Talk:600 (number)
This article is rated C-class on Wikipedia's content assessment scale. It is of interest to the following WikiProjects: | |||||||||||||||||||||

In accordance with a sensible procedure practiced by User:GUllman, the articles for the numbers 601 to 699 will be 'grown' here in the article on 600 until they are big enough to merit their own articles. Once that happens, a new page is created for the number in question, linking back to this page, and this page is changed to indicate that the number now has its own article. PrimeFan
Apologetic number?
editThis page indicates that 600 is an "apologetic number". I can't seem to find any definition of what an apologetic number is, have never heard of it, and everything I can find referencing an "apologetic number" just refers back to this page. Unless someone can provide a definition, it seems that this is just bogus information that has been spread around. 128.42.217.65 (talk) 22:44, 11 April 2013 (UTC)
- I agree and have removed it.[1] PrimeHunter (talk) 21:22, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
proposed merger from 629
editMakes complete sense and is a perfect time to remove useless junk info on that page. Pascal.Tesson 18:07, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

It is important information that Jerusalem is mentioned 656 times in the Hebrew Bible. It is regretable that this has been suppressed by some anti-Jewish vandal. Das Baz, aka Erudil 16:24, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
- I am Jewish, and it's not important, except possibly to Kabbalahists. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 03:57, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
definition of significance
editI just started going about editing and it appears there is some rules that I have missed reading.I am starting to read the guidelines but there are tons so I would appreciate if someone point me in the right direction to some definition of significance. I am confused because under number 713, the vault number in a fiction was noted, 558 in deep space nine, and 490 as number of available pokemons. i would normally categorize such cases as trivia with varying levels of triviality but since trivia is not allowed as implied by the revert on 694, how do i know whether a particular piece of info is considered significant?Kzl.zawlin (talk) 00:31, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
- oops just realized that it's on top. my bad Kzl.zawlin (talk) 00:34, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
Coincidental counts
editI just reverted the addition of "687...number of people in the Supreme People's Assembly of North Korea." I don't think such coincidental counts should be included. But I notice that there are a few others like it: the number of people killed in a hurricane disaster, the name of an Australian telephone socket, the area codes for Phoenix, and Minneapolis and so on. Do others these kind of entries should be purged? SpinningSpark 08:33, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
