Tables
editWhy are these tables being formatted this way?
I don’t see any precedent for color-coding genres, and some of the colors used here make the text practically unreadable. What is the reasoning for this?
And what is the logic behind the groupings of genres? The Grammys have very distinct genre categories, so grouping them beyond that seems unnecessary to me. And some of these groupings are totally arbitrary, like “Latin, Global, African, Reggae & New Age, Ambient or Chant” and “R&B, Rap and Spoken Word Poetry.” 2603:6011:7501:19FF:ED7A:D443:B8E1:179F (talk) 22:43, 19 July 2023 (UTC)
- There used to be a precedent for genre color-coordination but consensus was to do away with it entirely as it tended to do more harm than good. In this instance, it does a clear harm in that many of the category names are illegible for me personally and should be removed as an issue of accessibility.
- The genre groupings are based on a new Recording Academy precedent for organization which is detailed in the background section of the article. It should be fine to keep them that way unless anyone has any significant objections. QuietHere (talk | contributions) 18:48, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- I have replaced all the colors with white. Perhaps another color, e.g. gray or gold, would be preferred, which I would not object to, but nearly anything is better than what was already there. QuietHere (talk | contributions) 19:00, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- Should previous years be formatted this way also? I personally feel that this is an improvement in organization and readability. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 01:49, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
Songwriters' awards double bullets
editDo we need to have two bullet levels for the songwriter's awards? Maybe we can leave them in the general field, but I think it would look better if its consistent with the performance and album categories Tonyb1989 (talk) 00:05, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
Broadcasters list
editSaw some of the broadcasters, including Mola[1] and even Mediacorp[2] are planned to simulcast the Grammys. Maybe it's time to bring the broadcasters list to this article (in which followed the similarity with List of Academy Awards broadcasters). VernardoLau (talk) 10:39, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
