Same hole
editI removed the following statement:
Being that the bullet diameter is 0.243", a 0.2" pattern essentially means that all 5 bullets are in the same hole.
Because it is incorrect. Group size is typically measured center-to-center, meaning a .2" group with a .243 caliber rifle would have an outside measurement of .443. Having a .2" hole from a .243 bullet is not possible, even with one shot, your best group outside measurement would be .243. The 5 bullets may all be in the same hole, and a very small hole it is indeed, but it is not a single hole of the caliber used. Arthurrh 21:51, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Efficiency
editThe article had a claim that the 6PPC was the most efficient 6mm cartridge available "producing a higher velocity with less powder than any other 6mm". Without having a reliable source, it's a pretty strong bordering on ridiculous statement so I removed it. Obviously somewhat smaller cartridges with light bullets produce higher velocities per charge than larger cases. However there are even smaller 6mm cartridges that are even more efficient with light bullets. For example take a look at the 6x45mm (aka 6mm-223) and the 6x47mm. Both produce higher velocities with a 60 grain bullet and BL-C(2) powder than the 6PPC. (Data from Hodgdons using max loads for that bullet/cartridge/powder combination).

Proper measurement of groups
editThe prevous author states that a group size of .200 is not possible. Actually the record to date is .009 at 100 yards with a .243 dia bullet. How is this possible? The measuring of groups is measured from center to center on the two widest impacts on the target. The distance between the two centers is the group size. So if you were to fire two shots and the second shot impacts .250" away from the first shot, Then the group size for this two shot group is .250. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.71.94.240 (talk) 16:02, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
- No, that is not what was stated. It says that having a HOLE from the group smaller than the diameter of a bullet is impossible. It actually explains that .200 group size is the accurate statement, but .200 hole size is not. You must have misread it. AliveFreeHappy (talk) 06:30, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
Length
editThe introduction says "This cartridge's [...] being only 1.23 inches (31 mm) long", but that doesn't correspond to any measurement in the Specifications. Which is wrong? Doub (talk) 23:47, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
