dubious section: In the Air Refueling section of this article it states that the 712th replaced the 384th. This is incorrect. It replaced the 912th AREFS which I believe was transferred to Grand Forks AFB (at least that’s what we were told). I can not provide a source for this other than myself as I served in the 912th when it became the 712th and then in 712th until the 19th Air Refueling was deactivated in 1996. Also, the sited source for the 384th does not even mention Robins AFB and that’s because it was never stationed there. The only AREF Squadrons that were ever stationed at Robins in the 19th ARW were the 912/712th and 99th AREFS’.
