- 77th AR soldiers were trained that it meant "Stand Firmly". As in, "hold your ground". Rklawton (talk) 18:48, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
Information Needed
editI'm working to build this page to be as accurate and informative as possible. Here is what I currently require information on:
- Commanders of the 77th Armor Regiment
- Detailed accounts of the 77th's actions in previous (and current) wars.

Combined Arms Battalion
editTechnically speaking, 1-77 Armor is not an armored regiment/battalion. Due to the new Army transformation, as one of three manuever battalions in a heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1-77 is a Combined Arms Battalion. Alpha and Bravo are infantry companies; Charlie and Delta are armor companies; and Echo is an engineer company. Hal06 (talk) 23:34, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Hal06 - Technically speaking, yes. However, under the U.S. Army Regimental System 1st Battalion, 77th Armor Regiment exsists as an "armored" battalion. I understand the CAB concept and agree it gets confusing under the regimental system. As long as there is an "AR" after 1-77, and their battalion colors and company guidions are yellow, it is considered "Armor". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joshuashearn (talk • contribs) 10:29, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
- @Joshuashearn, I can't help but notice that the companies mentioned are not in the article. Faithful15 (talk) 19:52, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
- So can someone please include the current structure? Faithful15 (talk) 20:00, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
