Proposed merge of Haskelite Building into 801 N. Rowe Street

edit

I propose to merge Haskelite Building into 801 N. Rowe Street. Referring to the building by any one of the past dozen names it has had in its 130 history would not be as appropriate as the one name it has always been known by from day one - 801 N. Rowe Street. Using this would be less confusing to everyone as then everyone knows exactly what building you are talking about. No matter what part of its history you are talking about or who was manufacturing what, this name has ALWAYS been consistent. It is a building about a mile north of downtown Ludington, Michigan. That fact has always been the same and the address has always been the same as 801 N. Rowe Street. Using this as the name of the article then all historians will know exactly what you are taking about when you say Mendelson Manufacturing Company of Ludington or Tubbs Manufacturing Company of Ludington or Haskell Manufacturing Company of Ludington, as these companies were known also in other cities. But by saying "Ludington" then it is ALWAYS understood to be 801 N Rowe Street. --Doug Coldwell (talk) 20:22, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
