88 neo nazi?
editwhere is the news article for this? sounds like nazi propaganda
- Source provided. Google "88 hh" and you should have dozens of sources in a few minutes. Luna Santin 18:33, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

- Legitimate sources not yet in the article. SPLC and ADL cannot be considered legitimate sources for information on neo-Nazis; they have interests in the topic, but no interest in accuracy. The YLE reference is probably a legitimate source for the fact that some perceive it to be a neo-Nazi symbol. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 10:18, 5 February 2020 (UTC)

How many neo nazi's with '88' tattoos constitutes a "legitimate source"? ADL keeps a library of hate symbols and examples of their use. How is that not a legitimate source. Looks to me like someone "retired from wikipedia" had their finger's on the scales here. "88" is a well known hate symbol for "HH" or "Heil that guy with a name that starts with an H who started world war 2!" It's used online to mean this. Neo nazi gang members have it tattooed on their necks. It's documented in the ADL library of hate symbols. Not sure what more you want? https://www.adl.org/resources/hate-symbol/88

- Kansas City Chiefs' Jonathan Baldwin's jersey number[2].
- St. Louis Rams' wide receiver Isaac Bruce's former jersey number.
- Portland Trail Blazers' Nicolas Batum's jersey number[3].

Piano has 88 keys.
editAn oddity not worth listing in the article itself

Repdigit factors
editIt is also one of the very rare repdigit numbers which forms together with its amount of divisors a repdigit. 88 has 8 divisors (888 -> repdigit). I'm only aware of three such numbers: 1,2 and 88. -- Feuermonster (talk) 19:09, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
88 means Heil Hitler?
editI thought it refers to that legendary 88mm cannon used on Tiger tanks and AA guns. Could this number have this meaning? 94.228.80.91 (talk) 18:23, 12 March 2016 (UTC)Tom
