First sentence
editI was confused, at first, by the punctuation in the first sentence:
"8BC was a seminal performance space/art gallery/nightclub..."
At first I thought that the words "space" and "art" were supposed to go together. I thought it was saying that 8BC was a "space/art gallery", meaning a gallery containing exhibits related to outer space and exhibits related to art. :) I'm going to change the slashes to commas to avoid this confusion.
Categories
editHi User:Coffee and User:Klemen Kocjancic. I am curious as to what the rationale is to change Category:1983 establishments in New York and Category:1985 disestablishments in New York to Category:1983 establishments in the United States and Category:1985 disestablishments in the United States. 8BC was a New York based establishment and it closed in New York. So why keep changing it back? To me it makes complete sense for it to be placed in the New York category. But, perhaps User:Obiwankenobi knows the best thing to do :) (I could be wrong!). - Ah, I see. I'd like to change it back to New York establishments if people don't mind. Thanks for the background. SarahStierch (talk) 17:19, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
- we should go easy on auto-reverts of categorization by banned editors. Sometimes such people can get things right, not reason to cut off our nose the spite our face.--Obi-Wan Kenobi (talk) 17:33, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
- Please feel free to do so, I have absolutely no prejudice against reinstating useful categorizations. — Coffee // have a cup // beans // 22:27, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
