editSomewhere, Wikipedia should describe 990 as used commonly in the non-profit industry. 990 is short for IRS form 990 which is analogous to the personal, annual income tax filing (typing IRS form 1040), and a 990 is often how donors find out how a non-profit spends its money. The most important figure is the percentage spent on programs expenses (vs administration/fundraising). --AndrewZ 14 May 2007
