4/9th Battalion
editI am not at all convinced that a 4/9th Battalion was raised in World War I. It is not listed in James (Brigadier E.A. James, British Regiments 1914–18, 1978, 0-906304-03-2, page 93) nor in Frederick (J.B.M. Frederick, Lineage Book of British Land Forces 1660–1978, 1984, 1-85117-009-X, page 214). I note that the other three TF battalions did raise a 4th line (4/7th, 4/8th and 4/10th). Hamish59 (talk) 13:20, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
