- A. B. Guthrie, Jr. to A.B. Guthrie, Jr. (or A.B. Guthrie Jr. - I'm not sure how "Jr." and "Sr." are dealt with - comma or no comma?). Rationale: Naming conventions call for no space between first & middle initials. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 08:59, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- WP:NCP is explcit that initials are to be followed by a single point and a single space. --Stemonitis 09:27, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- Naming conventions call for the exact opposite, actually. -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 18:32, 7 July 2007 (UTC) [copied from WP:RM by Stemonitis 18:48, 7 July 2007 (UTC)]
- Naming conventions call for a space, and a comma before "Jr.", just as the title is now. -GTBacchus(talk) 21:32, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
"sissy name"
editDoes someone have a source for the quote that Guthrie allegedly considered he had a sissy name, as the article claims? I think a reference would be appropriate, I am not sure how to add the source needed tag though. Maybe someone more able would be willing to do so? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wonderdwarf (talk • contribs) 20:16, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
