Also, I don't think that the A5/1 Cracking Project was announced at black hat 2009. The schedule can be seen here: https://www.blackhat.com/html/bh-usa-09/bh-usa-09-schedule.html . I think that the first annoucement was at HAR2009: http://www.cs.virginia.edu/~kn5f/pdf/090815.HAR.A51.Cracking.pdf .
