Special Category for British Motorcycles
editAs part of the Motorcycling WikProject I am working though all the missing articles and stubs for British Bikes. To make things easier to sort out there is a special Category:British motorcycles Please add to any British motorcycle pages you find or create. It will also help to keep things organised if you use the Template:Infobox Motorcycle or add it where it is missing. I've linked the Category to the Commons Motorcycles of Britain so you could help with matching pics to articles or adding the missing images to the Commons. Manufacturer?
editCan AJS be classed, as it currently is in Wikipedia, as a "current" motorcycle manufacturer? By the description it "distributed a range of 124cc to 300cc Chinese produced road bikes" - does it actually make bikes, or merely import them? Are the old '74 250cc "Stormers" continuations still being built? This would justify it being defined as a manufacturer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.61.104.8 (talk) 23:25, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
Update: According to this article from the manufacturer's own website; they only import motorcycles from China: http://www.ajsmotorcycles.co.uk/new_AJS/docs/JSM125/MCN-JSM.pdf Company removed from manufacturers list as it no longer makes the bikes. 193.61.104.8 (talk) 01:57, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Unreferenced sections tagged
editI have placed unreferenced tags September 2013 on one major section and a smaller section. Without wading through the history where there are many minor edits, some of the contributions are attributable to the management of the present-day retail business using the name AJS.
The same thing has happened with the Cotton page where a 'Replicas' section has been introduced for AJS-produced (classic) Cottons. I have removed advertising and performed a clean up on this Replicas section together with an unreferenced tag. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.253.80.3 (talk) 18:56, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
