AJ, who undertakes self-defence classes in a storyline, was used as an example by a spokesperson for the show when EastEnders and other British soap operas were criticised in a study of 830 scenes over two weeks, made by Liverpool John Moores University Business School, who said that exercise was only shown or mentioned on four occasions.[1]anemoneprojectors10:29, 12 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

I've now put it into reception. –anemoneprojectors09:45, 24 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Comments

  • "fun side to Masood's character" which Masood?
  • "p*** off", I thought Wikipedia was not censored?
  • First sentence of Storyline has AJ mentioned three times, it's difficult, I know, but this isn't brilliant prose.
  • "AJ moves in," where?
  • "decree nisi, meaning their divorce will soon be finalised" you can link decree nidi to avoid having to explain what it means.
  • "via a post-it note" isn't this a Post-It note?
  • Last two paragraphs of Storyline are "tagged on", one single-sentence para, one two-sentence para, look to merge these, or at least improve the readability.
  • "part straight after" just me, but I'd prefer "immediately" rather than "straight".
  • pub -> public house.
  • Is "chancer" a word our international audience would understand?
  • "a joker[18] a charmer[27] " comma missing.
  • "The BBC says that he lives..." he's no longer a character so shouldn't this be changed in tense?
  • "Be the antidote to " not sure that B of Be should be capitalised, this isn't a complete sentence.
  • "that "Sparks..." no capital S here.
  • (left) and (right) in the caption, should be in italics.
  • "promise to never interfere" -> "never to interfere".
  • "Sharma is due to film his final scenes before Christmas 2013 and will depart in 2014." out of date.

I'll put the article on hold for a maximum of seven days. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:49, 3 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Would it be possible for you to grant AnemoneProjectors a some more time to make the fixes to the article? AP contacted me offline to say that he does not feel he will be able to do anything within the time. You might have noticed that he has not edited since January 2014 due to personal issues. If an extension is not possible, would it be okay for me to make the corrections? – JuneGloom Talk 18:03, 6 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
I'm happy for anyone to make the corrections. I could also extend the period over which they can be made, but a couple of weeks maximum. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:15, 6 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. – JuneGloom Talk 01:05, 7 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Any update on this or is this now a stale nomination? The Rambling Man (talk) 19:12, 11 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
I've made a start on the fixes and I'm just going to try and finish them. – JuneGloom Talk 00:02, 12 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
I believe I've made all the corrections now. I added a link to the Wiktionary article about Chancer, as I wasn't too sure what to do with that one. Thank you for the review. – JuneGloom Talk 00:42, 12 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
