GNG criteria questions
edit@Georgewilliamherbert Hi. I saw you removed the deletion tag from this article a few days ago and had wanted to ask about the GNG/SNG for electronics. I've got a few articles on certain electronics that I'm finishing up but was unsure about their notability after seeing this article get a deletion tag. I get the feeling that having independent secondary sources is often difficult for mil electronics because they're issued; like, who are you going to complain to about it? It's not like you can go out and buy a different radar system and sometimes the info on their characteristics isn't necessarily classified but making it really visible isn't encouraged either so no one will really make that many secondary independent discussions about them, you know? Most of the secondary sources that do discuss them are usually announcements of a system being acquired/landing a contract and possibly some about a system being retired.
The articles I'm finishing up do have secondary sources but they might not provide as extensive coverage of the topic like, say, a review article just on a certain iPhone model might. In your opinion, for topics within this kind of category, notability guidelines might be a bit more forgiving on those aspects? Jasonkwe (talk) (contribs) 23:56, 30 August 2022 (UTC)
