Obsolete?

- I don't know if they're still made in 2020, but back in 2010 - when the above comment was made - there were surveillance hard drives optimised for use with surveillance cameras. There's frustratingly little about them on the internet. Some sources state that their firmware prioritised read/write operations and sustained throughput over random reads, others say that they were simple rebadged desktop hard drives. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 11:29, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
