Lyrics
editIs there any reason we can't link to the lyrics on this page? I've tried doing so in the article, in external links, please tell me what I should do so I stop wasting my time with all your "cleaning" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.172.103.15 (talk) 01:44, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry I didn't know how to add references etc, the information I got was from Lil Wayne's interview with Westwood, which can be heard at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio1_aod.shtml?radio1/westwood. He confirms that he plays the guitar in the Lollipop video and that A Millie should be released soon.
Lil Mama and Fabolous also did remixes —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.162.45.201 (talk) 00:09, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Leak
editA MILLI has leaked out —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joc0626 (talk • contribs) 23:35, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Nu Jerzey Devil production
editI noticed Nu Jerzey Devil has his watermark on the leaked track but it seems like it's a mixtape watermark, not a production one because it's too frequent. Wait until it is confirmed via Lil Wayne or another reputable source. --Ayoleftyz (talk) 02:25, 18 March 2008 (UTC) You can hear Shondrae "Bangladesh" Crawford say his name in the song —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.100.223.93 (talk) 03:58, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
The Leaked song is I'm Illie
editThe song that leaked is I'm Illie. That's the original street single. Not A Millie. Check number 1 reference on The Carter III page. Blender talks about it and the backgroung I'm Illie. Not A Millie.Bamamnm (talk) 04:09, 18 March 2008 (UTC) I think its I'm Illie too not A Millie. And the site they referencing doesn't have a song called A Millie
- The track is "A Millie". The Blender article was a misprint or it was originally going to be called "I'm Illi", but changed. The refs are there to support it as "A Millie". --Ayoleftyz (talk) 20:13, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- I think it's "A Millie" too because in the song, he says "A millionaire, I'ma Young Money millionaire". So how could he be talking about being "illi" when he's talking about money? The Trillest Dude (talk) 21:17, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- It's not Millie, it's illie. It was not a misprint in Blender, since they included it TWICE. Numerous web sources support it being Illie.⇒SWATJester Son of the Defender 22:06, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I got a feeling it might be Millie, not Illie. We have the song to reference from, and we're taking info from a website? Come on now The Trillest Dude (talk) 23:48, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- No, we don't have the song to reference from. We reference from reliable sources, and Blender is as reliable as it gets. ⇒SWATJester Son of the Defender 03:30, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- Really now, you've had to at least listened to the song before confirming it's Illie. And again I say, you're taking info from a website who might've just previewed the song and already assume it's Illie. The Trillest Dude (talk) 21:06, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
3 Versions of the track
editThere are three versions of it, I have all three versions, if anybody doesnt believe me just go to youtube:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=25blJRAVLh8 < that is the third version (2.0) and it is easy to find one with cory gunz and one without. If you listen to the first verse you will be able to tell that the on with cory gunz is the dirty version and the one without is clean but still there are alot of differences. not much change in lyrics but more in flow. lyrics eg. in the dirty (cory gunz) version he says 'almighty power of that ch ch ch chopper' in clean version he says ' almighty power of allah'. There are differences in flow also, its hard to give an example but listen carefully to the first verses of the Cory Gunz and other version.
A Millie Single Cover?
editWho put up that single cover on the page? Is that the real single cover or is it just a fan-made one? The Trillest Dude (talk) 12:25, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well the cover was taken down, so I don't think that nobody saw the cover. But for those who saw it, can anyone post up their reference of the cover? The Trillest Dude (talk) 15:33, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Official Release Date, Name & Cover
editThe track is entitled neither "A Millie" nor "I'm Illi," but simply "Milli." Check itunes; it provides the cover and title. I don't think the track features Corey Gunz anymore though. I didn't buy it to check since I already have the track.
Here's a link to the cover posted on itunes: http://i29.tinypic.com/264467m.jpg Tri-Edge (talk) 20:51, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Find a source that we can cite to that says that, and I'll move it. Otherwise, we're using Blender et al referring to it as I'm Illi. ⇒SWATJester Son of the Defender 21:47, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Nah, too much work. I'd rather just wait till it surfaces and becomes obvious. Tri-Edge (talk) 21:47, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- A thought just occurred to me: it is possible to list amazon.com as a reference? Just wondering, since it lists "Milli" as a single and shows the album cover. Tri-Edge (talk) 21:37, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sure. Please put the link here, and if it checks out we can change it. ⇒SWATJester Son of the Defender 21:51, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Great, thanks for the link. I made the changes here and on the album, and moved the page. ⇒SWATJester Son of the Defender 22:55, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi i'm new here and i just bought the itunes version. It does NOT feature Cory Gunz officially. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Waddup2k8 (talk • contribs) 18:59, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
There's a slightly different, more modern version of the cover on Wayne's MySpace page, it just has "A Milli" instead of just "Milli".--Lilboogie (talk) 22:18, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Chart Position

Title
editThe title of this song is "Milli"!!! It was stated on iTunes, and the COVER of the single. It's not "A Milli" if u can read the cover it says "Milli" not A Milli.
- Well if you can see on his official myspace page you'll see that the official name IS A Milli and the cover was edited as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.211.168.59 (talk) 10:13, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Whatever the name is, I'm still beleiving it's Milli, not A Milli. Milli sounds better.
- The official title is "A Milli". It's sourced. Whether you think it sounds better or not is irrelevant. ⇒SWATJester Son of the Defender 19:33, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

A Milli Sold
editI think a milli sold should be added to the article because its the official remix if you want more info here it is "http://www.celebully.com/weezy-thanks-the-fans-releases-a-millie-sold-p940.html"
i added it up here and someone keeps deleting it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Klrobinson93 (talk • contribs) 03:51, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
i added it the day it came out and then the next time i logged in the whole remix section was deleted --Nyj1218 (talk) 14:15, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Well who keeps on freakin deleteing it?????????? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 1Sire (talk • contribs) 16:49, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- Remixes do not belong in this article. ⇒SWATJester Son of the Defender 16:16, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
- If they don't why not delete the Remix of Got Money also. Since both are the official remixes from Lil Wayne.
Single #
editSecond single needs to be changed to third single. Got Money is the 2nd single. LegendaryXM90 (talk) 20:08, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Bangladesh
editYo, can someone please credit the producer Bangladesh for makin this beat? I'm a big lil wayne fan, and its cool that he ripped on this one, but the beat itself, which everyone else has been styling over since, was made by Bangladesh. Right now this article totally doesn't credit him at all, which should be changed.
http://www.vibe.com/news/online_exclusives/2008/06/over_a_milli_remixes/
That website confirms what I just said. It also lists most of the remixes that other artists have done over the beat if that's helpful to anyone.

Copyright issues
editCan you post some background info about the copyright issues Bangladesh had by giving some engineer some credit but he really wasn't the guy used for the sample..?
