A Second Chance at Eden is a 1998 book by British science fiction author Peter F. Hamilton. It is a series of six short stories and one long novella, most featuring the affinity technology also found in Hamilton's massive The Night's Dawn Trilogy.
Five of the short stories had been previously published, and were re-cast in the Confederation timeline for this collection, of which the centrepiece is the title novella. The book is laid out in chronological order, with the stories intercalated with the Confederation timeline as found in the three Night's Dawn volumes.
