editDate query: The Petr Weigl version is listed with date 1992, which is the correct US Release Date according to IMDb. However, an upload on Youtube and a list of Keller's works including filmography (Gottfried Keller) gives the date as 1991. Jan. 1992 seems to be the US DVD release date, 1991 may be a European release date or TV broadcast. It seems a niggly point, but does Wikipedia have a policy on Release Dates?
I have added 1991 to 1992 in the Date box with a cite. — Preceding unsigned comment added by D A Patriarche (talk • contribs) 18:22, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
- The policy is that the release date should be correct and verifiable, So giving the US release date, labelled as such, is fine; but the original release date, if different, would probably be better, if it can be determined with certainty and cited. --Xover (talk) 07:51, 2 October 2016 (UTC)

Added (Jan/16/2021) the citation for the Naxos CD of the 1948 Beecham recording
edit... but cannnot figure out for sure how to get the Naxos logo to appear in the pop-up (viz., for comparison, how the pop-ups for EMI or Decca do show the logo. Oh well. (sobs quietly) I thought the on-line PDF from the 1948 CDs, with the scenes-synopsae (<-plural) was a good catch :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.176.129.25 (talk) 01:12, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
