Is that really the proper way to say someone speaks a language - they "claim" to speak the language. Seems off to me, I am going to look around for this. This is what it says about Melania Trump, for example: "Trump has said that she can speak English, Italian, French, and German in addition to her native Slovene, but she has only been heard speaking English and Slovene fluently. When communicating with speakers of other languages, she makes use of a translator." - her Wikipedia page CDA 00:48, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
