@Marcocapelle: That's not actually true: search the text for "Primacy of Peter", and read around it. I'll admit it's not a terribly impressive contribution, but categories should be inclusive of minor topics, not just "major contributions" or whatnot, as they give readers a chance to probe into the history of a topic. I think we should slowly move to a subcat along the lines of "Catholic-Orthodox union attempts before the [whatever moment is defining for all Eastern Catholics]" (which would also group Eastern Catholics avant la lettre). But for now, this will do. Dahn (talk) 06:27, 20 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Recognizing the Primacy of Peter is a tad more than just politics. Also: did Richelieu obtain recognition of Catholic doctrines from said Protestants? Cause if he did, then yes, they would belong as well. See my point? Dahn (talk) 06:34, 20 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
This aside from the fact that Catholics and Orthodox are not divided along the same lines as Catholics and Protestants are -- which is why the Eastern Catholic churches are now a thing. See for instance Udriște Năsturel, who used Jesuit propaganda against the Protestants while remaining fully Orthodox. Dahn (talk) 06:37, 20 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

The first sentence is unreadable. I highly suggest all or most of these alternate names/spellings be moved into a footnote. The use of {{efn}} is advisable. Aza24 (talk)16:57, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
