edit@Lugnuts: Looks like something needs to be done. Human (talk) 04:16, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
- Think I've fixed that. Thanks for spotting it. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:27, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
@Lugnuts: The user has created the article again and Shahab Alam. Human (talk) 16:52, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
- Looking at their edit history, they seem to pop-up once in a blue moon. I reckon the best thing is to wait until the end of the tournament, give it a day or two, and then they can be moved into draft (again). Otherwise they'll just come back and re-create them. @Bs1jac: - do you have any thoughts on this? Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:01, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
@Lugnuts: I noticed these on he Nepal player list as well. I was also planning to leave it until the day after the event ends. It is a shame that these players don't meet notability criteria, but we all know the minefield there. Always going to be a problem with Nepal as they have plenty of fans, and some active in WP. Plus Nepal's players are borderline notable with a reasonable amount of online mentions. Bs1jac (talk) 17:11, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. Someone give me a ping early to mid next week to remind me and I'll do the necessary. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:13, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Bs1jac: You can say the same about all the subcontinental fans, but they are somewhat sensible. Fans in Nepal are relatively new and has some sort of extra emotions attached. I understand their need of attention. Human (talk) 17:23, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
- @A Simple Human: Yes, that wasn't a criticism of Nepalese fans at all... I just meant that unlike most associate nations, there is a big following in Nepal, hence more likely to see players like this getting created when technically they shouldn't be. And also a reason why perhaps they should be included given there is likely news coverage (if we could find it)... but let's not go there! Bs1jac (talk) 18:18, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

Do not delete or move to draft
editThe article is created for a notable cricket player as per Wikipedia:Notability_(sports)#Cricket and Wikipedia:WikiProject Cricket/Notability. Also, a significant number of reliable sources are provided as references. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be on Wikipedia. Ashesh 04:12, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Lugnuts and Bs1jac: They hath spoken. Human (talk) 06:41, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- Looking at the articles they look pretty good now, and while technically fail WP:NCRIC, they would seem to pass WP:GNG, as they are more than just a one-liner. @Asheshneupane95: for info, and as a rule of thumb, cricketers from Associate teams that only play in bilateral tours, tri-series, or other tournaments outside of the T20 Cricket World Cup qualifier do not meet the cricket notability. However, if they can be expanded as you have done here, then other factors apply in demonstrating their notability. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:30, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
