donme?
editthis "donme" is humiliating for Turkish citizen! Abdi Ipekci is defined as Donme at this article as shown.
"Abdi İpekçi (9 August 1929 – 1 February 1979) was a Turkish journalist, intellectual and an activist for human rights of Dönme origin.[1]"
During the ottoman empire, some jewish turned into muslim. However, Abdi ipekci did not live at this age (maybe his grand family).
Then it is written as donme for a reason. He was killed by nationalist & muslim people (Mehmet Ali Ağca & others) (from extreme right wing. These people say his origin is Jewish and not real muslim.
You should erase this "donme" at this page!
I read the source (http://www.rifatbali.com/images/stories/dokumanlar/another_enemy.pdf). The writer mentioned also his family was donme. However, there is no evidence for that. He described these people as Salonica. However it is a greek city, peope from all religion were living there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.172.151.169 (talk) 22:09, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
