To do to improve
editKakepetum is a well-known artist! At the tribal government centre of my work, we have several of his painting hanging. Though I am not the person who created this article and fully agree the article itself really don't have much supporting information, this artist do have notoriety, so I would stongly suggest not to have this article be CSD. However, this article needs major upgrade from the stubbiest stub-class to at being least a start-class. So, with that said, here are my suggestions to improve the article:
- photo would be nice (if available)
wikify all the major-point words(!)- biography
- in-line citations
- references
external links (maybe to sites with sample galleries)add Categories- if a fair-use image of his art is made available, anyone with even vague familiarity with Anishinaabe and Cree artists will instantly recognize Kakepetum's work.
With all that said, I'll send a note to Geodbrown (the article's creator) and see if we can get this page beefed-up. CJLippert 03:52, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Please cross off items on the to-do list as they have been completed. Thanks.
- There's one other big problem, though. Which is that much of the text of the page is copied from here, which very unequivocally states "This site and the contents of this site are protected by International copyright laws. Reproduction is prohibited" (it's most likely aimed at protecting pieces of art, but...). So it would have to be made even stubbier at first in order for it not to be speedied as a copyvio. --Miskwito 05:49, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't see that page. The one I found was this one, also at K-Net, the website for ᑮᐌᑎᓅᐠ ᐅᑭᒫᑳᓇᐠ (Keewaytinook Okimakanak (unpointed: ᑭᐌᑎᓄᐠ ᐅᑭᒪᑲᓇᐠ)). CJLippert 20:21, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
