Discography section
editWhoa, slightly excessive on the discography section when compared to the rest of the article. I admire whoever put together the info for this section, but I think it should be cut down to less albums/artists. TheTwoRoads (talk) 03:14, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Infobox color
editTo avoid an edit war, I will start a discussion here as to what color the infobox should be.
According to Template:Infobox musical artist#Background: "All singular vocal performers (including lead and background singers, singer-songwriters, and singer-instrumentalists) should use solo_singer. This categorization is for any article about a singer, whether they perform solo, with a group or band, or both. All non-vocal instrumentalists should use non_vocal_instrumentalist." If the infobox is correct that he uses his vocals as an instrument, then the infobox color needs to use the solo_singer background. If the infobox is incorrect and that he does not use his vocals as in instrument, then vocals needs to be removed from the infobox and the infobox color needs to use the non_vocal_instrumentalist background. - That he sings is verifiable in the Drummer World profile. I didn't realize the solo_singer designation was so overly broad, changed it back to reflect this. dissolvetalk 00:13, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- Surfing through here after seeing Laboriel Jr. drumming and singing backup on a Paul McCartney tour in *I think* 2004. He qualifies as a singer, because as User:Dissolve mentioned, that area is broad. Looking at the first topic on this page about discussing what color infoboxes should be-- Whoa! Rock musicians and contemporary of all kinds use either the solo_singer which gives a yellow frame or a non_vocal_instrumentalist giving the frame an orange color. Any other color up there would be due either to the photo inside or a frame when the individual has other "Occupations" that take priority over being a musician, like a conductor who played an instrument first in an orchestra. What I really wanted to know though, is why this drummer is so visible but has no birthdate after all these years?!! --Leahtwosaints (talk) 21:42, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
