@Navapanitzcohen: Dear Ms Panitz-Cohen, if you find the time, it would be of great use to the Wikipedia users if you could please help include in the intro a few words about what makes the site attractive, a summary of the site's evolution and of the most important findings so far, and maybe some other "headline-making" discoveries there. As it is now, the main article is terribly dry & technical, and at least the intro, which is what most people probably read, should give more "in-a-nutshell" information. I strikes me for instance that, while most users would arrive to this page due to the biblical story of the siege of a walled city in the time of David, no Iron Age II fortifications have been found so far. I have tried today (19 Aug.) to include such a summary myself, by combing the article, but I am sure that this tertiary reuse of material cannot be of much value. Thank you! ArmindenArminden (talk) 14:37, 19 August 2016 (UTC) PS: Here some questions coming to mind. How much of the site has been excavated so far? The Assyrian siege ramp means that we should expect C8 fortifications to be found? How do the finds help understand "the nature of transition from the Late Bronze Age to the Iron Age I in the shadow of the destruction of Hazor"? How unusual is it that no Roman period remains were found? Thank you. ArmindenArminden (talk) 15:07, 19 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

... for all the different spellings, starting with Abel Beth Maacah. See in the article. "maachah" with -ch- is one of the rarest spellings, maybe we should change the title, too; but redirects would fix it for now. Thanks. ArmindenArminden (talk) 11:43, 21 August 2016 (UTC)
Still the case. Thanks, Arminden (talk) 11:36, 15 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
