Disagree with merger. Abreuvoir is fresh water fed by a stream or spring, they can be a simple cobbled area of a stream in which animals can stand to drink or the stream can enter a trough, the excess water flowing on down the stream. A Watering trough is normally a container that is filled with water from containers or a well, maybe using a pump and is not normally fresh water as the water is stagnant within the container.
