editThis article needs inline citations. If these don't exist, then it become very difficult to know which part of the article is sourced and which part isn't. That in turn makes it difficult to find BLP violations.Bless sins (talk) 20:00, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Abu Daoud's name
editMohammad Daoud Odeh's nom de guerre was Abu Daoud. It had the form of a kunya as had most Fatah leaders'. It means "the father of Daoud" and is a common way of addressing people in the Arab world. Abu is thus not a first name or Daoud a family name, as is often assumed. It thus makes no sense calling him "Daoud". If Abu Daoud would have been a true kunya then "Daoud" would refer to a different person (i e his oldest son Daoud).Jokkmokks-Goran (talk) 16:41, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
Bias
editIt is unfortunate that the encyclopedia which claims to be neutral presents this murderous terrorist who deliberately kills innocent civilian athletes as a freedom fighter. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.65.114.212 (talk) 00:51, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
There is certainly a perception of him as a freedom fighter, especially among Palestinians and their supporters, and while this article shouldn't present him as a freedom fighter it should present the perception that people have of him as a freedom fighter and explain why they think so. Of course those on Israel's side have a more negative view of him and this article fails to explain how he is viewed from the Israeli perspective which is why this article seems biased, which can be fixed by writing a bit more about him from said perspective too. 188.25.0.157 (talk) 22:12, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
- It literally calls him a terrorist in the first line. 82.36.100.16 (talk) 03:38, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
