Untitled
editThe following was added by one 63.134.156.121 at 09:29, 2 January 2006. I didn't feel it was quite up to Wikipedia standards, but it does seem like some useful info. So if anyone feels like incorporating this into the article in a more scholarly way, go for it, but for now, I'm moving it here to the talk page:
- Hey there all you chilly Locos. Just back from QROO [i.e. Quintana Roo] and was shown the proper way to make mexican hot chocolate, or just called "ChocoLA-te" down there.. Also dee-lish for blending with Kahlua, or the spirit of your choice for a fine happy hour treat.
- We used a medium size saucepan and filled it 2/3 of the way with water and heated it to a boil. Turn down the heat. Use a whole box of Ibarra, or Abuelita Mexican chocolate tablets. That's right, the whole box. Break up the chocolate into the hot water and when it's melted, stir in a large can of evaporated milk. DONE! I never got it right until now. It's so yummy. Chill for the happy hour bevs.
- The Ibarra or Abuelita chocolate can be found in many grocery stores with hispanic sections, or at Mexgrocer.com. I hope you try it and let me know how it turns out!

- Perhaps a Wikibooks Cookbook for Abuelita? Kylu (talk) 03:02, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Abuelita is now available also in a syrup form. Should we add this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.14.111.162 (talk) 23:12, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

If "Abuelita has been a staple Mexican product for more than 60 years..." then it would have been "invented" before 1954.

Rewrite
editThis entire page and its edit history is a mess of pointless and banal grievances and flame wars. The results of this petty, digital squabbling are clearly evidenced in the words themselves as they are largely nonsensical and wildly biased. I’m not familiar enough with the subject matter to do it myself otherwise I would but hopefully some kind chocolate-loving editor can rewrite this article into something deserving of being preserved on Wikipedia. Babykitsune (talk) 03:05, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
I agree with Babykitsune that this entry should either be eliminated or redone.Abuelita is a brand name and its products are poorly regarded by some professional chocolatiers, especially since Nestle bought it. I can add citations and expand if WP wants more done. Sorry, rusty on my editing skills. Msjmsj (talk) 14:04, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
