Very flat?
editThe article says the abyssal plains are very flat. Is this known, or is it an inference, possibly from few observations? I am suspicious. I saw in pictures taken of the ocean bottom SW of Australia during the search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 that showed previously unsuspected high relief.
