Notability
editIt is a landmark with historical relevance.
I agree; I do not have anything to add to the article, but the Ace is considered significant enough to warrant a special exhibition in a local museum. It was significant in the development of U.K. biker subculture, and the current proprietors are aware of its historical significance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.203.247.139 (talk) 09:17, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
All I know is that it is part of an important culture to Rocker culture.... George Leung 04:10, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- I have friends who rave about it as a venerable institution, very well used by many different types of people. Google quickly turned up references on external websites, so I have added a couple of these and removed the proposed deletion notice. Fayenatic (talk) 21:57, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Relevance
editThe article mentions an episode of Top Gear with no reference to this location. I assume it was filmed in this location, but could this be made more clear if true or deleted if not entirely relevant? SBHans13 (talk) 15:15, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Proposed move
editAs Ace Cafe redirects here why not move it to that name as there appears to be no other notable cafe of the same name (WP:AT "Conciseness – The title is no longer than necessary to identify the article's subject and distinguish it from other subjects.") -- PBS (talk) 01:07, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
- Ace Cafe London would seem to be the correct name for the business, witnessed by the images with the same legend appearing twice on the building and once on the van logo. Also seen in the UK company information.[23]
There are also Ace Cafe variants in US [24] and Beijing, China [25][26] so it is conceivable that these may be added to en Wikipedia.
I have checked a 1966 magazine cover where the London premises appear as simply Ace Cafe, but the present incarnation was established much later. Presently, there is consternation that the owner is trying to buy, or has already succeeded in buying, the rights to control and franchise-out for profit the 59 Club name and logo (it presently has charitable status); I will keep an eye out for developments.
Accordingly, I do not feel that retitling the article would be of benefit to the encyclopedia presently, on the basis that the present disambiguation may benefit those who search, and that any future articles would need their own respective disambiguation included in the title. As these ventures are highly-commercialised, I don't think Wikipedia should be affording too much publicity, or waste down-time in deliberating it. I am however personally interested in the 59 Club saga for other reasons.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 01:33, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
- I now see work has started on a new-build, Ace Cafe Switzerland.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 15:14, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
